Bing Chat or ChatGTP
I have been using both the chatbots for a while, and both use a similar OpenAI-created large language model (LLM) to generate responses. However, there are some differences between the two.
1. Since April 2023, Bing Chat (now known as CoPilot) uses a testing version of the GPT-4 model, while ChatGPT is on the older GPT 3.5-turbo model, which is a free edition.
2. Bing Chat is part of the search engine, which allows for more tailored outputs, while ChatGPT is an isolated interface.
3. Bing Chat is also integrated into other Microsoft apps and services, such as a sidebar in Microsoft Edge, a chatbot in Skype, and the mobile Bing app 1.
4. ChatGPT, on the other hand, offers more powerful integrations and plugins, and lets you easily collaborate on conversations.
5. Both chatbots are changing at a rapid rate, and neither chatbot provides the same exact answer for a given prompt on each attempt. Your results may vary with the prompts used here.
6. DALL·E 3 is a cool AI system created by OpenAI that can generate images from text prompts.
7. Bing Chat uses the latest version of ChatGPT (version 4) and DALL·E 3, whereas the paid version of ChatGPT 4 also supports these features, but not the free version ChatGTP 3.5.
In conclusion, both Bing Chat and ChatGTP have their pros and cons. If you’re looking for a chatbot that can provide human-like responses and personalized interactions, ChatGPT may be the better option.
Bing Chat has the Notebook interface in Bing Chat (Copilot) supports up to 18,000 characters for prompting compared to 4096 character limit in ChatGTP 3. The Notebook is not designed to function as a chat assistant. Instead, it acts as a prompt fine-tuning tool. Users can modify prompts without starting over, and Bing will remember previous versions of prompts even after edits.
